AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN EIGHT INCH
VITRIFIED CLAY SANITARY SMIER ON A CERTAIN! PORTION OF SECOND STREET
BETWEEN ADAP,iS STREET AND JACKSON STREET; DECLARING SAID TO BE A
NECESSITY AND DECLARING AN EI�iERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO1%R4ISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, ILENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the construction of an eight -inch vitrified
clay sanitary sewer extending along 2nd Street from a point approx-
imately 75 feet north of Jackson Street to a point in the inter-
section of 2nd Street and Adams Street, to be connected to an existing
eight -inch sanitary sewer, is a necessity.
SECTION 2. That the Department of Public Works is hereby
authorized and directed to construct such sanitary sewer under the
supervision of the City Engineer according to and conforming with
the detailed plans and specifications, as to the design and con-
struction of same, on file in the Engineering Department, and shall
cause same to be completed at the earliest possible date.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain
on file for public inspection for at least- one (1) week in the com-
pleted form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, but it
being necessary that this area be served with such sanitary sewer at
the earliest possible date for the protection of the public health
and welfare, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
