A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND RE•.�UESTING THE CITY NAHAGER TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR TIE; PURCHASE BY TIE CITY OF PADUCAH OF A
CAB AND CHASSIS, AILD PRESCRIBING THE TERI'•iS AND COHDITIONS TO BE
C011PLIED WITH BY BIDDERS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COI'�U,1ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City I•ianager be, and he is hereby, authorized
and requested to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah,
Kentucky of one (1) Cab and Chassis with the following minimum
specifications:
Heavy duty cab and chassis, cab over with tilt type cab.
i,Ianufacturer's G.V.,I. rating of 25,000 pounds. 18,000 pounds
rated single speed rear axle. dheel base of truck to Provide
111 inches from back of cab to immediately back of rear
spring hanger bracket.
Aiotor 148 gross horsepower rating. Reinforced chassis
frames or fish plated. Equipped with directional lights, dual
windshield wipers, sideview mirrors, one on each side. Heater
and defroster. Front end tow hooks, heavy duty cooling system,
auxiliary rear springs with build-up kits, hydraulic brakes,
900 x 20 - 10 -ply first line 100 level tires and tubes
front and rear dual with spare mounted.
Painting to be specified.
Each bidder is to state the amount he will accent in cash for
the purchase price of the cab and chassis he offers for sale, and also
the amount of the purchase price for same by accepting as trade-in
one (1) 1952 Idodel LC -182 International Pab and Chassis, and shall
also state the length of time required for delivery after a contract
is awarded.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in at least one (1) issue of the Sun Democrat. The
notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to
the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days
from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall
be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after
the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids
received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice
shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the
contract to the lowest and best responsible bidder. The Board of
Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids
and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said
cab and chassis until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the
execution of a contract-.

SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
