AN ORDINANCE A1,1ENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE FIXING AND ADJUSTING THE RATES OF PAY FOR CERTAIN A10I1-
CIVIL SERVICE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH", WHICH WAS ADOPTED
ON IiIARCH 16, 1957
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COi•HT SSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted on March 16, 1957, be, and the same
is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and
reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 1. That from and including the first day of January,
1957, the monthly rate of compensation to the following non -civil
service employees of the City of Paducah shall be the amount set
opposite the designation of subh employment, to -wit:
Position Monthly Salary
Corporation Counsel 045.00
Assistant Corporation Counsel 245.00
Assistant Corporation Counsel (Police Court) 165.00
Director of Public i-Jorks 390.00
City Physician (colored) 1$0.00
Alcoholic Beverage Administrator w
License Inspector 315.00
Secretary to City Judge 165.00
Janitor 212.00
Dog Catcher 200.00
Dog Shelter Attendant 100.00
Chief Foreman of Refuse 340.00
Temporary Clerk in Engineering Dept. 210.00
Field=Office Helper 270.00
After the person has occupied the position of Field -Office
Helper for a period of six months the salary thereof, upon
recommendation of the City I-ianager, shall be "y275.00 per month
and at the end of twelve months, upon recommendation of the
City Manager, said salary shall be "?2$0.00 per month."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption, and the salary increases shall be
retroactive and effective beginning January (1, 1957.
