MORRIS 'J. P-iCBRIDE, FIXING THE PURCHASE PRICE OF SAME AND PROVIDING
FOR THE TERI•13 AND PROVISIONS OF SUCH PURCHASE
WHEREAS on May 14, 1956, Morris W. McBride purchased certain
. property hereinafter described from Lativrence W. Haselip and wife,
Vivian M. Haselip for the sum of •„2,250.00, and
WHEREAS such purchase was made by the said Morris T.I. McBride
for the use and benefit of the City of Paducah, and
WHEREAS it is now the desire of the Board of Commissioners
to 'take 'title to said property.
NOYJ THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky purchase from
IMorris d. McBride the following described land in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky:
Beginning at a point on 'the north line of Washington
Street 110.93 feet westwardly from the northwest cor-
ner of Washington and Sixteenth (16th) Streets; thence
towards Seventeenth (17th) Street and with the north
line of Washington Street 46 feet to a point; thence
at a right angle to the right and parallel with the
west line of Sixteenth (16th) Street 160 feet to a
13.25 foot alley, which alley has heretofore been
dedicated by party of the first partts grantor in
the rear of said lot and certain adjacent lots here-
tofore owned by party of the first partes grantor;
thence at right angle to the right and with the
line of said alley and parallel with the north line
of Washington Street 46 feet to a point; thence at a
right angle to the right and parallel with the west
line of Sixteenth (16th) Street 160 feet to the point
of beginning.
The purchase price to be paid for same shall be -the sum of
,-2,250.00, and upon receipt of a general warranty deed properly
executed and free from liens, the City Treasurer is hereby authorized
and directed to pay to said Morris W. McBride the sum of ;-2,250.00
to be charged to Account 1110. 7700.
SECTION 2. All acts of the said 'Morris W. McBride in
acquiring said land for the use and benefit of the City of Paducah
are hereby ratified and confirmed.
. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form in
which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall be in
full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
