FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) NEW STATION WAGON, AND
PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UP014 WHICH SUCH PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
requested and directed to advertise for bids for the sale to the
City of Paducah, Kentucky of one (1) new Station Wagon, standard
model, either six cylinder or eight cylinder, two doors, two seats,
equipped with heater, automatic transmission, directional turning
signals, spot light, spare tire and wheel, two-tone color orange
and black.
Each bidder is to state the amount he will accept for the
purchase price of the station wagon he offers for sale, less the
amount he will allow on the purchase price as a trade-in value of
one (1) 1947 Studebaker one-half ton pick-up truck now being used
by the Park Department of the City. Each bidder is to state in
his bid the complete specifications of the station wagon and the
length of time required for delivery after a contract is awarded.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids By a
notice posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of
the request for bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat.
The notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days
prior to the opening of bids, and no bid shall be opened within
ten (10) days from the date on which this Resolution is adopted.
All bids shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the
hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids re-
ceived by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice shall
be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract
to the lowest and best bidder. The Board of Commissioners reserves
the right to reject any and all bids, and the City shall not become
legally obligated to purchase said station wagon until the adoption
of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
