A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR THE OPERATION OF EATING AND DRINIING CONCESSIONS AT NOBLE
PARK FOR THE YEAR 1957, AND PRESCRIBING THE MANNER IN WHICH BIDS
SHALL BE ADVERTISED FOR AND RECEIVED
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COP31ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the opera-
tion of eating and drinking concessions at Noble Park for the
year 1957, which includes outside stands, athletic field and
swimming pool.
SECTION 2. Each bidder shall state the highest amount he is
willing to pay for the concessions bid upon.
SECTION 3. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a
notice posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in at least one (1) issue of the Sun Democrat.
The notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days
prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within
ten (10) days from the date on which this resolution is adopted.
No bid shall be received unless under seal and marked as a Noble
Park Concession Bid. No bid shall be received after the hour fixed
in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the
City Irianager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with
the Board of Commissioners who may let a contract or contracts to
the highest and best bidder or bidders. The Board of Commissioners
shall have the right to reject any and all bids, and shall not
become obligated to accept any bid until the adoption of an ordinance
authorizing such acceptance.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
