AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING UNENCUMBERED FUNDS ON HAND FOR
THE PAYMENT TO THE STATE AGENCY OF THE OLD -AGE AND SURVIVORS
INSURANCE SYSTEM OF THE OBLIGATION OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
UNDER THE CONTRACT ENTERED INTO WITH SAID STATE AGENCY BY THE ADOP-
TION OF AN ORDINANCE ON FEBRUARY 5, 1957; CREATING A REVOLVING
FUND AND SEPARATE BANK ACCOUNT INTO WHICH TO COVER AND DEPOSIT
THE CONTRIBUTIONS TO BE MADE UNDER SAID CONTRACT; AND DIRECTING
THE CITY TREASURER TO CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE
BE IT U.DAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That there be, and there hereby is, appropriated
out of unencumbered funds on hand the sum of $2,071.58, which sum
shall be paid to the State Agency (department of Economic Security
of the Commonwealth of Kentucky) as an advancement to be held by
said State Agency in accordance with the contract between it and
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, by authority of an ordinance of said
City adopted on February 5, 1957.
SECTION 2. That there be, and there hereby is, appropriated
out of unencumbered funds on hand the sum of $p150.67, which sum
shall be paid to said State Agency to cover the City of Paducah,
Kentucky contribution to administrative costs in accordance with
the provisions of the contract hereinbefore referred to.
SECTION 3. That there be, and there hereby is, appropriated
out of unencumbered funds on hand the sum of P,533.40, which sum
shall be covered into a revolving fund, which hereby is created,
and which shall be deposited in a separate bank account, and out
of which only the City's and its employees? contributions to the
Old -Age and Survivors Insurance System shall be paid to said State
Agency in accordance with the contract hereinbefore referred to.
SECTION 4. That the City Treasurer be, and he hereby is,
authorized and directed to do and perform all acts necessary to
accomplish the purposes herein expressed.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file
for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed form
in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted shall
be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
