A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY OF ACQUIRING CERTAIN
LAND FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW CITY HALL BUILDING IN PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO SECURE
APPRAISALS OF SAID LAND
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1, That there exists the necessity and desirability
for the purchase of land to be used for the construction of a new
City Hall building, and that a tract of land on the west side of
South 16th Street extending from the south side of Kentucky Avenue
to the north side of Washington Street and fronting approximately
207 feet on Kentucky Avenue and Washington Street is a desirable
location for such City Hall building,
SECTION 2, That the Mayor and City Manager be, and they are
hereby, authorized to employ two locensed real estate dealers for
the purpose of appraising each parcel of property contained in the
aforesaid tract, and shall cause such appraisal to be returned in
writing to this Board.
SECTION 3, No part of such land shall be purchased by the City
until after the adoption of an ordinance authorizing same.
SECTION 4, This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
