AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE RIGHT OF WAY FOR TRAFFIC AT VARIOUS
INTERSECTIONS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KEAITUCKY, FIXING THE PENALTY
FOR VIOLATION THEREOF AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HERMUTH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. As used in this ordinance, the term intersection
shall mean the whole of that space at the intersection of one
street with another which is bounded by the property lines as
extended across said streets.
SECTION 2. Vehicles of any kind being operated on the
first named streets at the following intersections shall have the
right-of-way over other traffic at said intersections:
Gilson and Tully Streets
11th and Northvie:•r Streets
Harrison and 19th Streets
Harrison and 27th Streets
Clay and 27th Streets
Madison and 27th Streets
SECTION 3. Before entering any intersection listed in
Section 2 hereof, the operator of the vehicle using the intersecting
street not having the right-of-way as described in said section shall
bring his vehicle to a complete stop before proceeding to enter or
cross said intersection.
SECTION 4. Any person driving a vehicle, or any person,
firm, company or corporation operating a vehicle in violation of any
provision of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined
not less than Five (:;1"5.00) Dollars nor more than Twenty (:',20.00) Dollars
for each offense.
SECTION 5.. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
