AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING AND
ZONING COMMISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY ON BOTH SIDES OF
BROADWAY BETWEEN 14TH STREET AND FOUNTAIN AVENUE (17TH STREET) AND AMENDING
THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO EFFECT SUCH REZONING.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning and
Zoning Commission on November 21, 1956, entitled: "A RESOLUTION CONSTI
THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION ON THE
PROPOSED REZONING OF PROPERTY ON BOTH SIDES OF BROADWAY BETWEEN 14TH
STREET AND FOUNTAIN AVENUE (17TH STREET)", be approved as the final
report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 to B-3:
Beginning at a point in the center line of Broadway
1$0 feet west of the intersection of that line
with the center line of Fourteenth Street; thence north
at right angles to the center line of Broadway and
along the west boundary of the existing B-3 zone
206.25 feet; thence west parallel with Broadway to the
center line of Fountain Avenue; thence south with
the center line of Fountain Avenue 75.25 feet; thence
east parallel with Broadway 211 feet to the center
line of an alley; thence south with the center line
of said alley to the center line of Broadway; thence
west with the center line of Broadway to a point 120
feet east of the east line of Seventeenth Street
extended; thence south parallel with Seventeenth Street
206.25 feet; thence east parallel with Broadway to the
center line of Sixteenth Street; thence north along
the center line of Sixteenth Street to the center line
of Broadway; thence east with the center line of
Broadway to the beginning.
SECTION 3. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance and the map referred
to in Section 13 thereof entitled "CITY OF PADUCAH PLAN- ZONING MAP" Be,
and they are hereby, amended to the extent and in the respects necessary
to effect and designate the change provided for in Section 2 hereof.
SECTION 4. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any
cause, the deficiency of invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision
shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it
being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make each and every
section, paragraph and provision hereof separable from all other sections,
paragraphs and provisions.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
