AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ANNEXATION AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY
AND NECESSITY OF EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY OF JAMES W. CRUMP AND WIFE, MARIE CRUMP,
LYING ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH EAST CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARU OF THAT TERRITORY
PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain property of
James W. Crump and wife, Marie Crump, lying adjacent to the south east
corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky be annexed to said
city, and that said property proposed to be annexed is described as
follows:
Beginning at a point in the present boundary of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, said point being on the
south line of a 25 foot street known as West Virginia
Street and being 200 feet west of the right of way of
the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway; thence
westwardly with said line of ifest Virginia Street 149
feet; thence southwardly and parallel with Nashville,
Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway right of way 175 feet;
thence eastwardly and parallel with West Virginia Street
149 feet; thence northwardly 175 feet to the point of
beginning.
SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary
of the City of Paducah, Kentucky by annexing the property described in
Section 1 is desirable and necessary.
SECTS This ordinance shall be published in at least ten (10)
issues of the Sun -Democrat, the official newspaper of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, and the extension of the city limits as herein proposed shall
not become effective until the adoption of an ordinance annexing the
above described property as herein proposed, and such ordinance shall
not be adopted until publication of same as provided and until the ex-
piration of a period of 30 days after the passage of this ordinance.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
