AN ORDINANCE CREATING THE POSITIOP? OF FIELD -OFFICE HELPER
IN THE REFUSE DIVISION, PRESCRIBING THE DUTIES OF SUCH POSITION
AND FIXING THE SALARY THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C0144ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. There is hereby created the position of Field -Office
Helper in the Refuse Division of the City of Paducah. The duties
of the person occupying said position shall be to handle complaints
by persons using the system, to coordinate the collection of
charges for the use of the system and to perform such other duties
and assignments as'may be directed by the Chief Foreman of the
Division, the Director of Public Works and the City Manager. The
salary of the Field -Office Helper .shall be the sum of ;x265.00 per
month and shall be paid at the time and in -the same manner as the
salaries of other employees of the City are paid. After a person
has occupied such position for a period of six (6) months, the
salary thereof, upon recommendation of the City P?anager, shall he
N270.00 per month, and at the end of twelve (12) months, upon
recommendation of the City I -Tanager, said salary shall be 5x275.00
per month. Said position shall not be a civil service position
or covered by any provision of the Civil Service Ordinance of the
City of Paducah or by the provisions of the Civil Service Statutes
of the State of Kentucky, and the person filling such position
shall not acquire any rights under the rules of Civil Service
governing employees of cities of the second class.
SECTION 2_ This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
