AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION $-B OF THE "APPOINTIVE SvIPLOYE-ES
CIVIL SERVICE ORDINANCE", WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COAiijSSION-
ERS ON DECEMBER 2, 1947 ARID AIMIDED ORT MARCH 6TH, 1956
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COPIiISSIONERS OF THE CI^lY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section $-B of the "Appointive Employees
Civil Service Ordinance" which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners
on December 2, 1947 and amended on PIarch 6, 1956, be, and the same is
hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and
reordained shall read as follows:

following positions in the Public Works Department, heretofore known
as the Street Department, and the salaries of each position, provided
the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment
ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follows:

supervision of the Director of Public Works, a
non -civil service position which has heretofore
been created by separate ordinance and which is
not included in this ordinance.
2. Chief Foreman of Streets & Sewers
(formerly Assistant Superintendent of

4. Clerk -typist 1$0.00
The clerk -typist shall be paid at the rate of 511$0.00 per month
for the first six months and ;?190.00 per month thereafter upon
recommendation of the City Manager.
5. Server maintenance men (6 positions)
6. Equipment Operator (5 positions)
7. Street Repairmen (7 positions)
$. Truck Drivers ($ positions)
9. Laborers (7 positions)

Laborers shall be paid at the rate of $1.17 per hour for the
first six months of their employment and 5?1.25 per hour thereafter.

Refuse (Sanitary ) Division
13. This division shall be under the direction and
supervision of the Chief Foreman of the Refuse
Division, a non -civil service position which
has heretofore been created by separate ordinance
and which is not included in this ordinance.

SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
