HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 503, No Resolution Numberl� Y A RESCLUTION AUTHORIZING TIE, CITY MAPIAGER TO ADVERTISE CERTAIN REAL ESTATE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR SALE AT PUBLIC AUCTION; PRESCRIBING THE TERIJIS ANTD CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PROPERTY SHALL BE SOLD BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF CODR-IISSICHERS OF THE CITY OF PADMUI, KE]HTUCKY: SECTIOT 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to advertise for sale at public auction the following set out property owned by the city of Paducah, Kentucky, known as lots Mos. 9, 10 and 11 in Block 18 in the West End Improvement Company Addition to Paducah, Kentucky, situated at the south east corner of 27th and Broadway, each lot fronting 50 feet on the south side of Broadway and running back 160.75 feet to an alley. SECTION 2. The sale at public auction shall be conducted by the City Tara ger in the Commission Chamber of the City Hall at a day and hour to be fixed by him after having been advertised by a notice posted up at the City Hall door and by advertising in one issue of the Sun -Democrat at least ten days prior to the date of sale. SECTIOU3 . The City manager shall offer said lots for sale separately and then as a whole and he shall report the highest bid received to the Board of Commissioners who may either accept or reject such bid and the City shall not be obligated to sell any of said property on any bid submitted until an ordinance authorizing the execution of a deed or deeds is adopted. SECTIOI? 4_ The person m persons making the highest bid or bids at said sale shall immediately after the sale, deposit an amount equal to ten (10o') percent of the bid or bids and the balance of the purchase price shall be paid in cash at the time any deed should be authorized by ordinance and offered to the purchaser or purchasers, and any and all deeds authorized by ordinance shall contain a provision under which the City shall convey by special warranty subject to any state of facts that might be shown by an accurate survey of the property.
