BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COT-11ISSIO11SRS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,

SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to adverti.
'or bids for the sale to the City of Paducah of two (2) new 1956 five -passenger
four -door, automobiles, black color, h-,,v-ing-a-min murn"horse-porter---reuvim2 oar Z5O,
to be used in the Police Department of the City of Paducah. Said automobiles to

(one 6 -volt, 45 amp, generator, one 12 -volt, 60 amp. generator), installation of
which is to be supervised by the City, ea ;-._duty_ seat springs, deluxe heater, oil

Each bidder is to state the amount he will accept in cash for the purchase price
of the automobile he offers for sale, and shall also state the length of time
required for delivery after a contract is awarded.
SECTION 2. The City :Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted up
at the City Hall door and by.inserting notice of the request for bids in at least
issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least sev
days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ter_ (10) days
from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received after
the hour fi---ed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the
City ;•anager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of bids shall be
filed with the Board of Cor.Llissioners who i:ray let the contract to the lowest re-
sponsible bidder.
The Board of uommissioners shall reserve the riu;ht to reject any and all
bids and the city shall not become legally obligated to purchase said automobiles
until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract.
SECTIM 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
