AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FORTHESUSPENSION OF ACTIVITY IN
CONNECTION WITH THE SLUM CLEARANCE AND URBAN REDEVELOPKENT PROGRAIJ,
THE SETTLEMENT OF ACCOUNTS WITH THE HOUSING AND HOKE FINANCE AGEIICY,
AND OTHER RELATED MATTERS
MHEREAS it has been determined that the City of Paducah is
at the present time financially unable to assume its share of the
expense that would be incurred in the continuation of the Slum
Clearance and Urban Redevelopment Program heretofore inaugurated
pursuant to Title I of the Housing Act of 191~g, Public Law 171, 81st
Congress, and
WHEREAS it is necessary to settle accounts with the Housing
and Home Finance Agency with respect to the advance made by that
Agency for preliminary study, survey and planning.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO1.2aiSSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KRiNTUCKY:
SECTION 1. Activity in connection with the Slum Clearance
and Urban Redevelopment Program in said City shall be suspended in-
definitely, but this action shall not be an abandonment of said Pro-
gram, the right being reserved in said City to reinstate the same
at any future date when the finances of said City will permit.
SECTION 2. There'shall be paid out of the general funds of
said City and into the Survey and Planning Account the sum of ;;275.07,
representing reimbursement of expenditures from said Account disallowed
by the Housing and Home Finance Agency.
SECTION 3. All insurance now in force and originally
written pursuant to the requirements of the Housing and Home Finance
Agency in connection tirlth the Slum Clearance and Urban Redvivelopment
Program shall be cancelled forthwith, and the return premiums shall
be credited to the Survey and Planning Account, pursuant to the
direction of said Agency.
SECTIOiN 4. All office furniture and equipment purchased for
use in connection with the Slum Clearance and Urban Redevelopment
Program, consisting of one secretarial desk, one secretarial chair,
one administrative desk, one administrative chair, one fili:zg cabi-
net, one Royal typewriter and one conference table, shall be sold in
accordance with the requirements and procedure specified by the

Housins and Home Finance Agency, and the proceeds shall be credited
to the Survey and Planning Account.
SECTIMT 5. Upon completion of the matters described in
Sections 2, 3 and 4 hereof, the City Treasurer shall account to
the Housing and Home Finm ce Agency for all activity in the Survey
and Planning Account since the date of the last audit of said "ccount
by said Agency, and shall pay to said Agency the balance remaining
in said Account.
