A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR
BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN RADAR EQUIPMENT TO BE USED BY THE
POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID
PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COPrIISSIOIIERS OR THE CITY OF
PADUCAIi, IMNTUCIiY:
SECTION 1. That the City Blanager be, and he is hereby,
authorized to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah
of certain radar equipment to be used by the police department
having the following minimum specifications:
To be operated from either 12 volt storage battery or from
110-120 AC voltage; shall check, and record speed of vehicle from 0 to
100 miles per hour; shall have operating range from 0 to at least 175
feet; shall be portable and to the -approximate dimensions of 24117-.6"x12".

Each bidder is to state the amount he is willing to accept in
cash for the purchase price of said equipment and shall state the

length of time requirEd for delivery after a contract is awarded. I
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by
a notice posted at the city hall door and by inserting notice of
the request for bids in at least one (1) issue of the Sun -Democrat.
The notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days
prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10)
days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. All bids
shall be sealed and no bid shall be received after the hour fixed in
the notice for the opening of same. All bids received by the City
I•lanager up to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of bids
shall be filed with •the Board of Commissioners who may let the con-
tract to the lowest and 'nest bidder, and the Board of Commissioners
shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the City shall
not become legally obligated to purchase said equipment until the
adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of the purchase
contract.
3ECTIO-1 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
