Home My WebLink AboutOrdinances Book 13, Page 465, No Ordinance Number4655 AId ORDINANCE A'ENDING THE STATEMENT OF ANTICIPATED REVENUE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR THEYEAR 1955; REVISING AND AMENDING TIIE APPROPRIATION OF THE PUBLIC REVENUE AND IMC%M COLLECTED AND TO BE COLLECTED IN SAID YEAR; TRANSFERRING UNUSED APPROPRIATIONS FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES TO OTHER PURPOSES; FIXING THE APPORTIONMENT OF THE PUBLIC FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSES SPECIFIED THEREIN AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH WHEREAS, the City Manager in his budget for the year 1955 anticipated the receipt by the City of Paducah of total revenue in the sum of x'1'4359,993.45, which revenues were appropriated for the various public purposes under the Apportionment Ordinance adopted by the Board of Commissioners on May 10, 1955, and WHEREAS, more revenue will be collected than was anticipated and the City will receive more than the aforesaid sum of }1,359,993.45 anticipated under the aforesaid ordinance and will receive a sum of :11,397,139.27 which is an excess of ;137,145.82 of the aforesaid anticipated amount, and WHEREAS, by December 31, 1955 there will have been expended for the year 1955 more than the aforesaid sum of j1,359,993.45, which sum so expended frill be *:11,397,139.27, and WHEREAS, to make a complete revision of the statement of anticipated revenue for the year 1955 and to reapportion public funds for said year, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C0I,11ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IMITUCKY: SECTION 1. The provisions of this ordinance are severable, and if any provision, section, sentence, parggraph or part thereof shall be held invalid, such decision shall hot affect or impair the remainder of the ordinance, it being the legislative intent to ordain and enact each provision, paragraph, section, sentence or part thereof separately and independently of each other. SECTION 4., All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTION 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause to be published in the Paducah Sun -Democrat a notice of the introduction of this ordinance and the proposal to make the aforesaid transfers and appropriation of revenues for the year 1955, said notice to be published at least one (1) meek before this ordinance shall be put upon its final passage. SECTION 6.
