AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN LANDS TO BE USED
IN THE CONSTRUCTION AND FUTURE OPERATION OF THE SANITARY SEWERAGE IP.IPROVE-
MENT PROGRAM, AND PROVIDING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUCII PURCHASES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1_ That the City of Paducah, Kentucky purchase the following
described lands in the City of Paducah, Kentucky from the following owners
for the following prices, to -wit:
Tract No. 1
A tract of land on the west side of Lath
street 78.67 feet south of Husbands street
fronting 90 feet and running back westerly
120 feet, owned by A. J. Finch, for the
purchase price of ;450.00.
Tract No. 2
A tract of land on the west side of 4th street
168.67 feet south of Husbands street, fronting
265 feet and running back i.•iestwardly 35 feet,
owned by A. J. Finch, for the purchase price of
"030.00.
Tract No. 3
A tract of land fronting 38 feet on the south
side of 4th street adjoining the last above
described parcel on the south and extending
back westwardly 35 feet, owned by Thomas G.
Wynn, for -the purchase price of „76.00.
Tract No. 4
A tract of land fronting 76 feet on the south
side of 4th street adjoining the tract of land
last described above on the south, and extending
back westwardly 35 feet, owned by Aubert Conway,
for the purchase price of (152.00.
Trade Ido. 5
A tract of laxed situated at the northwest corner
of the intersection of George street and 4th
street, fronting 381 feet on the west side of
4th street and extending back westwardly 35 feet,
owned by the Board of Education of the City of
Paducah, for the purchase price of 5762.00.
Tract Ido. 6
A tract of land on the west side of 4th
street adjoining the tract last described
above on the north, and fronting 230 feet
on the west side of 4th street and extend-
ing back westwardly 35 feet, owned by J. G.
Segenfelter; for the purchase price of ':000.00.
Tract No. 7
A tract of land adjoining the last described
tract on the north, fronting 48 feet on the west
line of 4th street and extending back westwardly
35 feet, owned by Pilary J. Shaw, for the purchase
price of 5?96.00.
Tract No. 8
A tract of land beginning at a point on the easterly
line of North Third Street 240 feet north of the
north line of Madison Street; thence in an easterly
direction and parallel with Madison Street 59.4 feet
more or less to the west right of way line of the
Floodwall; thence in a southeasterly direction and
with said Floodwall right of way line 38.22 feet;
thence in a westerly direction and parallel with
Madison Street 72.34 feet, more or less, to the
east line of North Third Street; thence in a north-
mxxterly direction and with the east line of Third Street
36 feet to the point of beginning, owned by the Paducah
'dater Vlorks, for the purchase price of ,'?240.00.

Tract No. 9
A tract. of land fronting 40 feet on the west side
of 3rd Street and extending back westwardly 163.25
feet to an alley, said tract being between Norton
street and Husbands street and adjoins the north
line of the property known as i,�1111 South 3rd Street,
owmed by the estate of A. E. Arteburn, for the
purchase price of $800.00.
Tract No. 10
A tract of land fronting 45 feet on the east line
of Terrell Street 70 feet south of 6th Street,
owned by Jesse Carneal, for the purchase price of
-1, 000.00.
Tract No. 11
A tract of land at the southwest corner of 6th and
Terrell Street containing approximately 6.71
acres as described in Deed Bool 331, page 166 in the
McCracken County Court Clerk's office, owned by
i=iarshall Gray and *,rife, Beatrice Gray, for the
purchase price of ;¢10,350.00.
Tract No. 12
A tract of land at the end of North 7th Street
adjoining the Gray property, containing approx-
imately 1.72 acres, owned by the Magnavox Company,
an Indiana Corporation, for the purchase price of
-1p2,500-00.
Tract No. 1
A tract of land on the north side of North 7th Street
where same ends containing about 0.7 of an acre
owned by Mrs. Mildred Pinkney, for the purchase price
of P'200.00.
The above lands are to be purchased for the purpose,
including but not limited to, the construction of a sewage treatment
plant and appurtenant equipment, sewage pump stations and sanitary
sewers in connection with the present sanitary sewerage improvement
program. The City Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to each
of the above named owners the stated purchase price for each tract
ofland upon receipt of a deed conveying same to the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, approved by the Corporation Counsel, and he shall
pay same from funds in the account known as "City of Paducah,. Kentucky
Sanitary Sewerage Improvement Program Construction Account."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain
on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the completed
form in which it shall be put upon its final passage, and if adopted
shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days thereafter.
