AN ORDINANCE PROPOSING ADNEXATION AND DECLARING THE DESIRABILITY AND
NECESSITY OF EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY BY
ANNEXING CERTAIN PORTION OF BUCKNER LAND ADJACENT TO THE SOUTHWEST CORPORATE
LIr1ITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF THAT
TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIM:TS OF THE CITY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C014-IIISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that a certain portion of Buckner La;
adjacent to the southwest corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky,
more particularly described hereinafter, be annexed to the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, and that said property proposed to be annexed is described as foll
Beginning at a point where the present city limits, as
located along the line dividing lots 7 and 8, Block "A",
"Sunset Court Addition", recorded in Plat Book "A", pages
244-245, McCracken County Court Clerkts office, intersects
the south property line of Buckner Lane, said point
beim 185.4' west of the south west corner of the intersec-
tion of Buckner Lane and Fortieth Street; thence at right
angles in a northerly direction to the north property line
of Buckner Lane and to a point in the south line of Lot
26, Block "G", Gregory Heights Addition as recorded in
Plat Book "A", pages 118-119, McCracken County Court Clerk's
office; thence in an easterly direction and along the north
property line of Buckner Lane to a point in the present
city limits line, said point being where the east line of
an alley in Block t1Hi1, Gregory Heights Addition, intersects
the north line of Buckner Lane; thence in a southerly
direction and along the present city limits line to the
south property line of Buckner Lane; thence in a westerly
direction and with the south property line of Buckner Lane
also the present city limits line, to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. It is hereby declared that extending the boundary of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky by annexing the property described in Section 1
is desirable and necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be published in at least ten (10) isst
of the Sun -Democrat, the official newspaper of the City of Paducah, Kentucky
and the extension of the city limits as herein proposed sha'. not become
effective until the adoption of an ordinance annexing the above described
property as herein proposed, and such ordinance shall not be adopted until
publication of same as provided and until the expiration of a period of
thirty (30) days after the passage of this ordinance.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption. �J
