AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF GEORGE R. THOMAS TRUCK
AND TRACTOR CORIPANY FOR THE SALE TO THE CITY OF ONE FLUSHER TANK
AND ASSOCIATED EQUIPMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
PURCHASE SAIME
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIN ISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky accept
the bid of George R. Thomas Truck & Tractor Company in the sum of
97,127.36, less 0'350.00 for trade-in for one flusher tank mounted
on a 1941 International K-8 COE, making a total delivery cost of
5)6,777.36 for the sale to the City of One South Bend flusher
mounted upon One 3-1840 International chassis, having a rating
of 140 HP at 2800 RPM, and the flusher and chassis having all
other required specifications as set out in the Resolution
authorizing the advertisement for bids for the purchase of such
equipment adopted by the Board of Commissioners on September 20,
1955.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, andhe is hereby,
authorized to enter into a contract for the purchase of said
flusher and associated equipment as set out in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain
on file for public inspection for at least one (1) week in the
completed form in which it shall be pout upon its final passage
and if adopted shall be in full force and effect ten (10) days
thereafter.
