AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF CERTAIN LAND OF
FRANCES JOHNSON AND HUSBAND, JOSEPH L. JOHNSON, AND PROVIDING
THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUCH PURCHASE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah, Kentucky purchase
from Frances Johnson and husband, Joseph L. Johnson, the following
described land situated in the City of Paducah, County of McCracken
and State of Kentucky:
Beginning ata point where the west property line of a
601 street known as Broad Street intersects the north
property line of a 501 str4et known as Brown Avenue;
thence in a westerly direction and along the north line
of Brown -Avenue 65*; thence in a northerly direction
and along a line parallel with Brown Street 1751, more
or less, to the center line of Cross Creek or the north-
erly line of the party of the first part; thence in an
easterly direction and with the north property'line of
,the party of the first part 651, more or less, to the
west property line of Broad Street; thence in a southerly
direction and with the west property line of Broad Street
1751, more or less, to the point of beginning.
Said land being purchased for public purposes. The purchase price
to be paid by the City for said land is the sum of $500.00, and
upon receipt of a deed from Frances Johnson and husband, Joseph L.
Johnson, conveying said land to the City of'Paducah, and approved
by the Corporation Counsel, the City Treasurer is hereby authorized
and directed to paysaid sum to said Frances Johnson and husband,
Joseph L. Johnson, in full payment for said land.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
