AN ORDINAME EX-MMING TIL: BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IMETUCKY BY
ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY OF GUS T. S1Q:TH AND UIFE, ETHEL DuBOIS S141TH, LOCATE
AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTIOiN OF SOUTH CENTRAL AVMIUE AMID 40TH
STREET; DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAME l'IHICH IS TO DE INCLUDED WITHI
THE CORPORATE LIKITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY
WHEREAS, under an ordinance adopted on July 26, 1955 the City of
Paducah, Kentucky, by and through its Board of Commissioners, proposed to
extend the boundary of the City of Paducah by annexing certain property of Gus
T. Smith and wife, Ethel DuBois Smith, located at the northeast corner of the
intersection of South Central Avenue and 40th Street, which property is here-
inafter more particularly described, and
MEREAS, said Ordinance declaring the desirability of extending the
boundary as herein proposed has been published in ten (10) issues of the Sun -
Democrat, the official newspaper of the City of Paducah, and
IMEREAS, a period of more than thirty (30) days has elapsed since the
enactment of the aforesaid ordinance, and
bEEREAS, no petition or complaint has been filed in the McCracken
Circuit Court protesting the extension of said city limits,
PiORI TIiEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C01,24ISSIO11ERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described property of Gus T. Smith
and wife, Ethel DuBois Smith, be annexed to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, the
same being more accurately described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 18
in Block "H" in Gregory Heights Subdivision to
Paducah, Kentucky said point beim at the intersection
of South Central Ivenue with the northeast line of a
20 foot alley in said Block 71H"; thence southeastwardly
with said line of said alley 437 feet, more or less,
to a point in the center of the reat, line of Lot 27 in said
Block "H11; thence southwestwardly 20 feet across said
alley to a point in the center of the rear line of Lot 11
in said Block "H"; thence contir_uing in a straight
line along the center of said Lot 11 190 feet to a
point on the northeast line of 40th 6treet, said point
beim the center of the front line of said Lot ill; thence
northwestwardly with said line of 40th street 325 feet
to a point where same intersects the east line of
South Central Avenue, said point being the southwest
corner of Lot 17 in the aforesaid Block "II"; thence
northwardly with the east line of South Central Avenue
and the west line of said Lot 17 and across the aforesaid
alley 237.74 feet, more or less, to the point of,beginning.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
