DESIRABILITY AND NECESSITY OF EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, IMNTUCKY, BY ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYIIIG ADJACENT
TO THE SOUTHITEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF TILE CITY, OF PADUCAH, AI1D
DEFINING ACCURATELY TIME BOUIDARY Or, THAT TERRITORY PROPOSED TO
BE INCLUDED VITMI THE CORPORATE L11NITS OF THE CITY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COId-1ISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. It is hereby proposed that certain territory
adjacent to the southwest corporate limits of the City of Paducah,
Kentucky, more particularly described hereinafter, be annexed
to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and that said property so pro-
posed to be annexed is described as follows:
Beginning at a point where the presene city
limits line intersects the south line of Buckner
Lane and following the present city limits line
in the southward direction for a distance of 150
feet and thence westwardly in a line parallel
to the south line of Buckner Lane to 40th Street
and further in a westward direction along the
south line of Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 in
Bloc!: "A"', Sunset Court Subdivision, a plat of
rfnich is of record in Plat Book t'A", pages 244-245
CCracken County. Court Clerks office and thence
in a northerly direction alon; the western boundary
o_' lot 7 to the south line of Buckner Lane and
eastwardly alon the south line of•Buckner Lanz to
the beginnirr;.
SECTTIOI1 2. It is hereby declared that eztendin- the
boundary of the City of Paducah, Kentucky by annexir_; the property
described in Section 1 is desirable and necessary.
SECTIO_': 3. This ordinance shall be published in at least
ten (10) issues of the Sun -Democrat, the official newspaper of the
City of Paducah, Kentucky, and the extension of the cit, limits as
herein proposed shall not become effective until the adoption of
an ordinance annealing the above described property as herein proposed,
and such ordinance shall not be adopted until publication of this
ordinance as provided and until the eacpiration o1 a pej,ioct of thirt--
(30) days after the passaZe of this ordinance.
