AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING
AND ZONING CO1'R'1ISSION RESPECTING THE REZONING OF PROPERTY BOUNDED ON
THE NORTH BY MASON AVENUE, ON THE i7EST BY 27TH STREET AND THOP-iPSON
AVENUE, ON THE SOUTH BY LaCLEDE AVENUE AND ON THE EAST BY 25TH STREET
EXTENDED, APD APIEPiDING THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINANCE SO AS TO EFFECT
SUCH REZONING
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COPUAISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1_ That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning and
Zoning Commission on June 15, 1955, entitled: "A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING
THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION ON THE
PROPOSED REZONING CF PROPERTY BOU14DED 0M1 THE NORTH BY PJASOPi AVENUE, ON
THE ?TEST BY 27TH STREET AND THOMPSON AVENUE, ON THE SOUTH BY LaCLEDE
AVENUE AND ON THE EAST BY 25TH STREET EXTENDED", be approved as the
final report of said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTIO N 2. That the zone classification of the following property
be, and it is hereby, changed from R-3 to B-3:
Beginning at a point in the center line of Twenty-
seventh Street 206.25 feet north of the intersection
of that line with the center line of LaClede Avenue,
which said beginning point marks the intersection of
the center line of Twenty-seventh Street with the
center line of a 20 foot alley lying between Mason
Avenue and LaClede Avenue; thence north with the center
line of Twenty-seventh Street to the center line of
Thompson Avenue (Beltline Highway); thence northeast
with the center line of Thompson Avenue (Beltline High-
way) to the center line of Mason Avenue; thence east
with the center line of Mason Avenue to the center line of
Twenty-fifth Street extended, as described in a deed dated
June 15, 1955, from l'Tilliam V. and Katherine Eaton to the City
of Paducah; thence south with said center line of Twenty-
fifth Street extended to the intersection of that line with
the center line of the aforesaid alley; thence west with
the center line of said alley -to the point of beginning.
SECTION 3. That the zone classification of the following property be,
and it is hereby, changed from R-3 and R-1' to B-1:
Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of
twenty-seventh Street and LaClede Avenue; thence north
with the center line of Twenty-seventh Street 206.52 feet
to the intersection of that line 1•rlth the center
line of a 20 foot alley lying between M'Iason Avenue
and LaClede Avenue; thence east with the center
line of said alley to the center line of a proposed
extension of Twenty-fifth Streetas described in a
Deed dated June 15, 1955, from William V. and
Katherine Eaton to the City of Paducah; thence south
with the center line of said extension of Twenty-
fifth Street to its intersection with the center
line of LaClede Avenue; thence west S•rith the center
line of LaClede Avenue to the point of beginning.
SECTION 4. That the Paducah Zoning Ordinance and the map
referred to in Section 13 thereof entitled "CITY OF PADUCAH PLAN -
ZONING MiAP", be, and they are hereby, amended to the extent andin
the respects necessary to effect and designate the changes provided
for in Sections 2 and 3 hereof.

SECTION 5. That if any section, paragraph or provision of this
ordinance shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid
for any cause, the deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph
or provision shall not affect any other section, paragraph or provision
hereof, it being the purpose and intent of this ordinance to make
each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof separable
from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions.
SECTIOIi 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
