Ah ORDINAL?CE A MMI)ING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
"AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THE OPERATION
OF A MUNICIPAL COLLEGE IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY", WHICH
WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COD94ISSIONERS ON NOVEMBER 6, 1939,
AND MENDED. ON APRIL 5, 1949
WHEREAS, a vacancy in the membership of the Board of
Trustees of the Paducah Junior College has been created by the
resignation of B. G. Kruger, and it is necessary to fill said
vacancy;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMD2SSIONERS
OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the
title quoted above, which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners
S� on November 6, 1939, and amended on April 5, 1949, be amended and
reordained so that said section as amended and reordained shall read
c� as follows:
"SECTION 1. That Roy Vance be appointed a member of the Board
of Trustees of the Paducah Junior College to fill the vacancy created
by the resignation of B. G. Kruger so that said Board of Trustees
as now constituted shall be composed of John G. Russell, Brady M.
Stewart, T. S. Waller, W. A. Conway, Luther Carson, Dr. Leon Higdon,
Schultz Riggs, Sam Finkel and Roy Vance. Said Board of Trustees
shall control the municipal college in the City of Paducah which has
been established pursuant to the provisions of KRS 165.160 to 165.200
and are to have all of the powers given to them pursuant to the
provisions of said statutes."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
