ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE BY THE CITY OF,PADUCAH OF ONE
(1) LOADER, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO BE COM-
PLIED WITH BY BIDDERS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1_ That the City Manager be, and he.is hereby, authorized
and requested to advertise forbids for the sale to the City of Paducah,
Kentucky of one (1) loader with the following specifications: .
4 wheel drive, rubber tired end loader
Hydraulic power steering
Torque converter or fluid drive
Powered with gas engine. Engine should have minimum stripped
horsepower rating of 100 HP, preferably planetary drive
1 cubic yard struck capacity bucket. Machine should have
lifting capacity of 5,000 pounds. Full reversing trans-
mission with reverse speed same as forward speeds to reduce
loading cycle. Combination accelerator and brake pedal
control.
Tires 1300 x 20 or 24 - 8 ply front and rear first line
earth moving type. Cab complete with safety plate glass
and windshield wipers.
Each bid must be quoted on proven production models of 12
months, and shall state guarantee and present amount of
parts stock available,
Each bidder is to state the amount he will accept in cash for
the purchase price of the loader and also the amount of the purchase
price of same by accepting as trade-ih One (1) 1950 Hough Rubber Tired
Front End Loader with 3/4 cu. yd. bucket, and also the amount he will
accept in payment of rental option both with and without the trade-in.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the
request for bids in at least one (1) issue of the Sun -Democrat. The
notice shall be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to
the'opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days
from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall
be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received after
the hour fixed i n the notice for the opening of bids. All bids
received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice
shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the
contract to the lowest and best responsible bidder. The Board of
Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids
and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said
loader until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution
of a contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
