WITH P. -IID -CONTINENT PETROLEUM CORPORATION FOR THE PURCHASE OF ALL REGULAR
AND ETHYL GASOLINE, DIESEL FUEL, I%iOTOR OIL, CHASSIS LUBRICANT, GEAR
LUBE OIL AND 91TI-FREEZE FOR USE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY FOR
THE FIRST SIX MONTHS OF THE YEAR 1955, AND PRESCRIBING THE TERV13 AND
CONDITIONS UPON IBHICH SAID PURCHASES SHALL BE MADE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized
to enter into a contract, on behalf of the City, with PIid-Continent
Petroleum Corporation for the purchase of regular gasoline and ethyl
gasoline at the posted tank wagon established price at time of delivery,
less Federal Tax of 2¢ per gallon and less discount of 1� per gallon;
in no event shall the net price of regular gasoline exceed 21.95'nor
shall the net price of ethyl gasoline exceed 23.96, the Octane rating
of regular gasoline is to equal or exceed 84, and the Octane rating
of ethyl gasoline is to equal or exceed 90; diesel fuel at the posted
tank wagon established price at time of delivery, less discount of
1/2¢ per gallon; premium detergent heavy duty motor oil, Brand D -X
720 per gallon in 55 gallon d ums, exclusive of Federal Tax; first
grade detergent heavy duty motor oil, Brand Diamond TBD, 500 per
gallon in 55 gallon drums, exclusive of Federal'Tax; Brand No. 642 D -X
all purpose grease in 100 pound drums at 19¢ per pound and 35 pound
pails at 19.5¢ per pound; Brand No. 607 D -X Chassis lubricant in 100
pound drums 13.50 per pound and 35 pound pails 140 per pound; Brand
No. 791 SAE 90 and Brand No. 792 SAR 40 D -X all purpose gear lube oil
in 100 pound drums at 13.50 per pound and in 40 pound pails 14.5¢
per pound; PEAK brand permanent type anti -freeze in cases of 6/1 gallon
cans at :1.97 per gallon and in cases of 21/1 quart cans at j2.4 per
gallon.
All prices are guaranteed against advance and the City is to
receive benefit of any price reduction.
Biid-Continent Petroleum Corporation is to furnish and install,
without cost, three electeically operated and metered gasoline
pumps, necessary tanks and concrete islands and one electrically
operated and metered diesel pump and underground tank«

SECTIOH 2. This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on
file for public inspection for at least one week in.the completed form
in which it shall be put upon its final passage. As the various
departments of the City must be immediately supplied with gasoline,
diesel fuel, motor oil, chassis lubricant and -ear lube oil for the
protection of public health, safety and welfare, an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
