BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY OF ONE (1)
LOADER; AND PRESCRIBING THE SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO BE
COMPLIED WITH BY BIDDERS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1_ That the City Manager be, and he is hereby,
authorized and requested to advertise.for bids for the sale to the
City of Paducah, Kentucky of one (1) Loader with the following
specifications:
4 wheel drive, rubber tired end loader
Hydraulic power steering
Torque converter
Powered with gas engine. Engine should have minimum
stripped horsepower rating of 75 H.P.
1 cubic yard struck capacity bucket 841, in width so that
sweeper attachment can be utilized. Machine should have
lifting capacity of ,000 lbs. Full reversing transmission
with reverse speed lz times as great as forward speeds to
reduce loading cycle.
Combination accelerator and brake pedal control.
Tires 1300 x 24 - 8 ply front and rear first line earth moving
type.
Standard Equipment to include adjustable seat, parking brake
and hand throttle.
Sweeper attachment to be furnished with the machine. Must fit
the 8411, i cubic yard bucket and be propelled by hydraulic motor.

and machine for quick change over back to front end loader operatic
Each bid must be quoted on proven production models for twelve (12)
months or more, andshall state the guarantee and the amount of parts for
said loader now available in stock.
Each bidder shall state the amount acceptable in payment of the full
purchase price in cash, and also the amount he will accept in payment of
rental option.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice
posted up at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for
bids in at least one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted
and published at least seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bid
shall be opened within ten days from the date on which this resolution is
adopted. No bid shall be received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be
received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All
bids received by the City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice shall b
filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest
and best responsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the
right to reject any and all bids and the city shall not become legally ob-
ligated to purchase said loader until the adoption of an ordinance
authorizing the execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from ani
after its adoption.
