AN ORDIII910E REQUIRING PERSONS CONVICTED OF CERTAIN
CRIMES TO REPORT TO THE CHIEF OF POLICE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY; PRESCRIBING THE NATURE OF SUCH REPORTS; AND FIXING THE
PENALTY FOR VIOLATION THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CObI•IISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTI01T 1. Every person who has been convicted in any
Federal Court, or the court of any state rri.thin ten years prior
to the effective date of this ordinance, of any crime punishable
by imprisonment for one year or more by the state or provision
of law under which the conviction ryas had, who comes into the City
of Paducah, I1cCracken County, Kentucky, from any point outside of
said city whether in transit through said city or otherwise, shall
report to the Chief of Police of said city within forty-eight (40)
hours after his arrival rrithin the boundaries of said city, and
shall furnish to such chief of Police a vmitten statement signed
by such person, the true name of such person and each other name or
alias by which such person is or has been knorm, a full and complete
description of himself, name of each crime of which he had been
convicted in accordance with the above together with the name of the
place where such crime was committed, the name under which he was
convicted, and the date of the conviction thereof, the name, if any,
and the location of each prison, reformatory or other penal in-
stitution in which he shall have been confined as punishment therefor,
together rri.th the location or address of his residence, stopping place
or living quarters in said city, and each one thereof, if any, or the
address or location of his intended residence, stopping place or
living quarters therein, and each one thereof, with a description
of the character of each such place, whether hotel, apartment house,
dwelling house or otherwise, giving the street number thereof, if
any, or such description of the address or location thereof as will
so identify the same as to make it possible of location, and the
length of time for which he expects or intends to reside within the
territorial boundaries of said city.
SIMIOii 2. ::othin in this ordinance shall be deemed,
wren construed, to apply to any person who has or shall have received
a full pardon for each such crime whereof he shall have been con-
victed, nor to any person who is or shall be on parole or probation

wiod under the lays of the State of Kentucky shall have expired
Lthout any revocation of such parole or probation having been made.
SECTION: 3. The records, information and addresses re-
xired by Sections 1 and 2 hereof shall constitute a part of the
:cords of the Police Department of the City of Paducah and shall
)t be open to any person or persons except a regular acting police
"£icer of the City of Paducah, or upon the written request of any
xson who has registered herein, and then only open to such person
r his agent to the extent that he or his agent may examine the
)formation that he had furnished in accordance with the provisions
of Sections 1 -arid 2 hereof.
SECTIONI 4. Any person violating any provision of this
ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and uponconviction
thereof shall be punished by a fine not to exceed 1100.00 or by
imprisonment not to exceed thirty (30) days. Each separate day or
any portion thereof during which any violation of this ordinance
occurs, and each failure, neglect or refusal to make any such report
from and after the expiration of the time specified in this ordinance
wriithin which such report must be made, shall be deemed to constitute
a separate violation hereof and a separate offense hereof, and
upon conviction thereof each such violation shall be punishable
as hereinabove provided.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
