BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) POWER KWER, AND PRESCRIBING THE
TER14S AND CONDITIONS TO BE COI•1PLIED I'IITH BY BIDDERS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF C0111113SIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City 14anager be, and he is hereby,.
authorized to advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah
of one (1) riding power mower with gasoline burning engine, 4 wheels
and a 5 foot mowing blade.
Each bidder shall state the amount acceptable in payment of
the full purchase price for said mower, and shall submit a complete
description of the equipment he proposes to sell, containing full and
detailed specifications and guarantee, and shall state the approximate
time required for delivery f.o.b. Paducah, Kentucky.
SECTION 2. That the City ivianager advertise for bids by a
notice posted at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the re-
quest for bids in at least one issue of the Sun Democrat. Notice shall
be posted and published at least seven (7) days prior to the opening
of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten (10) days from the date on whi
this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received unless under seal nor
shall any bid be received after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening
of bids. All bids received by the City Ivianager up to the time fixed in the
notice shall be filed with the Board of Commissioners who may let the contra
to the lowest and best responsible bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall
reserve the right to reject any and all bids, and the City of Paducah shall
not become legally obligated to purchase said equipment until the adoption of
an ordinance providing for such purchase and authorizing the execution of a
contract.
SECTION? 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
