KENTUCKY, AND DESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON 111HICH SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE 1.IADEE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COI>11ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENITUCKY
SECTION: 1. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to adver-
tise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, of one (1) new
one-half ton pick-up truck with the following specifications: 11611 wheelbase,
heavy duty clutch, rear corner wind,ws, three -speed transmission, steering
column gearshift, oil bath air cleaners, direct double action shock absorbers
front and rear, mounted heater, tires maximum 600-16, 6 ply, first line with
spares mounted and the color to be green or black.
Each bidder is to state the amount he will accept in cash for the purchase
price for said truck and also the amount he will allow on the purchase price
as a trade-in value on one (1) one-half ton 1941 AK Chevrolet pick-up truck.
Each bidder is to state the length of time required for delivery after a contract
is awarded.
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted up
at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at least
one issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least
seven days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall be opened within ten
days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be received
after the hour fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by
the City 1.1anager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Board
of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. The
Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and all bids and the
City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said truck until the adoption_
of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a contract.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.
