BE I^1 ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C01-11ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,

SECTION 1. That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title quoted
above, which was adopted on August 5, 1952, and amended on June 16, 1953, be,
and the same is hereby amended and reordained so that said section as amended and
reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTIOI,I 1. The number and rank of members of the Police Department of
the City of Paducah and their monthly salaries, provided said salaries are not
changed by any annual apportionment ordinance adopted hereafter, shall be as
follows:

Chief of Police 1 X400.00
Assistant Chief of Police 1 325.00
Chief Detective 1 310.00
Director of Traffic 1 310.00
Police Captain 4 300.00
Detective Lieutenant 1 2$5.00
Police Lieutenant 5 285.00
Sergeant 4 272.00
Sergeant Detective 2 272.00
Sergeant Jailer 1 272.00
Policemen 40 265 00
Provided,'however, that any policeman_ hereafter appointed, during his
first year of service shall receive a salary of X245.00 per month and upon com-
pletion of a year of satisfactory service as determined by the City ilanager
on recommendation of the Police Chief, his monthly salary shall be increased to
5;255.00 for the 2nd year of service, and upon completion of a 2nd year of satisa
service as determined by the City iaanager on recommendation of the Police Chief,
his monthly salary shall be increased to the swn of V265.00'x.
SECTIOI? 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTIO:: ;_ This ordinance shall be in full force and effect on an
after February 1, 1M.
