A RESOLUTION RE, QUESTING'TIIE CITY A'1ANRGER TO ADVA'RTISE FOIt BIDS FOR THE
PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF OVERHEAD AND ENTRAMCE DOORS FOR FIRE STATION
NO 1; AND PRESCRIBING THE CONDITIONS UPON mHICII SAID PURCHASE SHALL BE MADE .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COhfNISSIONERS.OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY.
SECTION 1.. That the City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
advertise for bids for the sale to the City of Paducah and installation of
three (3) over -head doors, similar to those at Fire Station No. 3, electrically
operated with automatic controls, designed to fit the front doorways at Fire
Station No. 1 in the City of Paducah, complete with all necessary attachments
and equipment to assure proper operation thereof, and also one (1) entrance
door installed, complete with hardware, for the one (1) entrance door on the
front of said Fire Station Mo. I.'
SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted
at the City Hall door and by inserting notice for'the request for bids in at
least one (1) issue of the Sun -Democrat, said notice shall be posted and
published at least seven (7) days prior to the opening of bids and no bid shall
be opened within ten (10) days from the date on which this resolution is
adopted. No bid shall be received unless under seal nor after the hour fixed
in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids so received shall be filed
with the Board of Commissioners who may let the contract to the lowest responsibl
bidder. The Board of Commissioners shall reserve the right to reject any and
all bids and the City shall not become legally obligated to purchase said
doors until the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the execution of a
contract.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
