AI:D OPERATE A GARBAGE DISPOSAL SYST 1I AI?D E STIHATIM THE PROBABLY COST THEREOF
WHEREAS, the present facilities for the collection and disposal of garbage
in the city of paducah are considered inadequate and dangerous to the health and
welfare of the citizens and residents of said City; and
WHEREAS, it is believed that a municipally operated garbage system as
yauthorized in KRIS 94.211 to 94.2$7 is the only plausible solution to the problem
of adequate garbage disposal;
I:OYI THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO%&IISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. As required by KRS 94.283 it is hereby declared desirable
that the City of Paducah acquite, maintain_ and operate a garbage disposal system,
together with extensions and necessary appurtenances thereto within or without
the limits of the city under the general authoritg granted to cities of the second
class under the provisions of ILLrS 94.2$1 to 94.287.
SECTION 2. As further -required by KRS 94.283 it is estimated
that the probable cost of the system shall be ;;6$,650.00 and the probable
operating cost per annum shall be "'109,000.00, said estimates being further
broken dorm as follows:

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect froIil and after
