AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY
ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE NORTH WEST CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, WEST OF 32ND STREET AND NORTH OF PINES ROAD, DEFINING ACCURATELY
THE BOUNDARY WHICH IS TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
WHEREAS, Under an ordinance adopted on August 5, 1952, the City of Paducah
proposed to extend its boundary by annexing certain property adjacent to the north
west corporate limits of said city and said ordinance has been published in ten (11
issued of the official newspaper of said city, and
WHEREAS, a period of more.than thirty (3.0) days has elapsed since the
enactment of said ordinance and no petition having been filed in the McCracken
Circuit Court protesting said extension.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the following described lands lying adjacent to the north
west corporate limits of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, west of 32nd Street and
north of Pines road be annexed to and included within the corporate limits of
the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and that the city limits be relocated by including
within the corporate limits the following described territory:
"Beginning at a point in the line of the north-
westerly city limits of the City of Paducah 217.8
feet north of the Pines Road and 150 feet west of
32nd street, said point being in the line of the
property of Henry Steinhauer; thence in a northerly
direction with the line of the city limits, and in
a line 150 feet west of 32nd street 1529.4 feet to
the south line of Miruiich Avenue; thence in a westerly
direction and at an interior angle of 89 deg. 26 min.
with the line of Minnich Avenue 625 feet to a point in
said line marked by an iron pipe, corner to property
of Henry Steinhauer; thence in a southerly direction
at an interior angle of 90 degrees 34 minutes with
the line of Henry Steinhauer and parallel with Pines
Road 1529.4 feet to a point in said line marked by an
iron pipe; thence in an easterly direction at an
interior angle of 89 deg. 26 min. with another line of
Henry Steinhauer 625 feet to the point of beginning."
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.
