AN ORDINANCE AJIENDING SECTION 8 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: 1,AN ORDINANCE PLACING
OFFICES AND POSITIONS OF TRUST OR a[PLOYMENT IN THE SERVICE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, UNDER,CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF KRS 90.300
TO 90.990; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOIMENT OF A BOARD OF CIVIL SERVICE COIQIISSIONERS, FIXING
AND PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS, TMIS OF OFFICE, POWERS AND DUTIES OF SAID COWTSSIONERS;
PRESCRIBING THE RULES BY WHICH THE BOARD OF CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSIONERS SHALL BE GOVERNED IN
THE GIVING OF EXAMINATIONS TO APPLICANTS FOR a[PLOYMENT; FLYING THE NWIBER, CLASSIFICATION
AND SALARIES OF ALL EMPLOYEES IN EACH DEPARTMEi9T WHO SHILL BE AFFECTED BY THE CIVIL
SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE CONDUCT OF ALL EMPLOYEES AFFECTED THEREBY
AND THE CAUSES FOR I]IIICH ANY EMPLOYEE MAY BE REPRIMANDED, SUSPENDED, DISLISSED OR REMOVED
FROM EMPLOYMENT BY THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR AND ESTABLISHING A RET= ENTT SYSTEM AND TIE
CREATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A PENSION FUND FOR APPOINTIVE DIPLOYEES OF TIM CITY OF PADUCAH,
IENTUCKY, AM AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF A TAX AND THE ASSESSMENT OF EMPLOYEES FOR TIME
CREATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SAID FUND; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A BOARD OF TRUSTEES
TO ADMINISTER SAID FUND; FLYING AND PRESCRIBING THE QU.ALITICATIONS, TMMS OF OFFICE,
POWERS AND DUTIES OF SAID BOARD OF TRUSTEES; PRESCRIBING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS BY
WHICH SAID BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND ALL APPOINTIVE DIPLOYEES SHALL BE GOVERNED IMH REFERENCE
TO THE GRANTING AND ALLOWANCE OF PENSIONS AND OTHER BENEFITS AND PROVIDING A SEPARABILITY
CLAUSE," WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMISSIONERS ON DEMBER 2, 1947, AND i NTDED
ON ,LARCH 11, 1952
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C0141ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAII, IMNTUCICY•j
SECTION 1 That Section 8 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above,
which was adopted by the Board of Commissioners on December 2, 1947, and amended on March
11, 1952, be and the same is hereby repealed, amended and reordained, so that said section
as amended and reordained shall read as follows:
ITSECTION 8 There is hereby authorized the following positions in the Engineering
Department, and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not
changed under any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows:

There is hereby authorized the following positions in the Street, and the salary of
each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any apportionment
ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows:

There is also hereby authorized the following positions in the Cemetery Department,
and the salary of each position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under any
apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows:

SECTION 2 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
