AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED:
'TAN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE MBER, RANKS AND MONTHLY SALARIES OF THE
FIRE DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERMVITH«, IMICH WAS
ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMISSIONERS OF DEMMER 11, 1951, AND AMENDED ON
MAY 20, 1952.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COP@iISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1 That Section 1 of an ordinance containing the title
quoted above, which was adopted on December 11, 1951, and amended on May 20, 1952,
be, and the same is hereby amended so that said section as amended shall read as
follows:
t!SECTION 1 The number and ranks of members of the Fire Department

of the City of Paducah, and their monthly salaries, provided said salaries are not
changed by any annual apportionment ordinance adopted hereafter, shall be as follows:

Provided,however, that a new member of this department, during his
first year of service, shall receive a salary of $240.00 per month, and upon
completion of a year of satisfactory service, as determined by the City Manager
on recommendation of the Fire Cheif, his monthly salary shall be increased to the
applicable amount shown above.
SECTION 2 This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect on and after September 1, 1952.
