AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID. OF IOIG-WOODALL MOTOR SALES FOR THE, SALE
TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH OF ONE (1) NEW 1952 PLYMOUTH CAMBRIDGE CLUB COUPE TO BE
USED IN THE STREET DEPARTMENT, AND PROVIDING FOR A TRADE-IN ON THE PURCHASE PRICE
OF A DAMAGED CAR; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR
THE PURCHASE THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, IMNTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah accept the bid of King -Woodall Motor
Sales in the amount of $1,572.27 for the sale of one (1) new 1952 Plymouth
Cambridge Club Coupe with equipment specified in its bid dated July 29, 1952,
and said price being the difference between the full sale price of $1,922.27 and
the amount allowed on a trade-in of a 1949 Studebaker, said trade-in price being
$350.00.
SECTION 2. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to
purchase for and on behalf of the City of Paducah said automobile on the terms
and conditions set out herein and as specified in the bid of King -Woodall Motor
Sales dated July 29, 1952, together with such additional conditions and convenants
which the City Manager may deem necessary.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting of
the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for at least one (1) week for
public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final
passage, but it being necessary for the Street Department to be furnished with
said new automobile as soon as possible in order that work in the streets and
public ways may be carried on without delay, an emergency is hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption.
