/ AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 9 OF AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED: ?AN ORDINANCE PLACING
C OFFICES AND POSITIONS OF TRUST OR EMPLOYEMTN IN THE SERVICE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
UNDER CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF KRS 90.300 TO
90.990; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A BOARD OF CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSIONERS, FIXING AND
PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS, TERMS OF OFFICE, POWERS AND DUTIES OF SAID COMMISSIONERS;
PRESCRIBING THE RULES BY 141HICH THE BOARD OF CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSIONERS SHALL BE GOVERNED
IN THE GIVING OF EXAMINATIONS TO APPLICANTS FOR EMPLOYMENT; FLYING THE NUMBER, CLASSIFICA-
TION AND SALARIES OF ALL EMPLOYEES IN EACH DEPARTMENT WHO SHALL BE AFFECTED BY THE CIVIL
SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE CONDUCT OF ALL EMPLOYEES AFFECTED THEREBY
AND THE CAUSES FOR WHICH ANY EMPLOYEE MAY BE REPRIMANDED, SUSPENDED, DISMISSED OR REMOVED
FROM EMPLOYMENT BY THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR AND ESTABLISHING A RETIREMENT SYSTEM AND THE
CREATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A PENSION FUND FOR APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY, AND AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF A TAX AND THE ASSESSMENT OF EMPLOYEES FOR THE
CREATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SAID FUND; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A BOARD OF TRUSTEES
TO ADMINISTER SAID FUND; FIXING AND PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS, TERMS OF OFFICES POWERS
AND DUTIES OF SAID BOARD OF TRUSTEES; PRESCRIBING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS BY WHICH SAID
BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND ALL APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES SHALL BE GOVERNED WITH REFERENCE TO THE
GRANTING AND ALLOWANCE OF PENSIONS AND OTHER BENEFITS AND PROVIDING A SEPARABILITY CLAUSE1+3
WHICH WAS ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 2, 1947, AND AMENDED ON
MARCH 11, 1952
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1 That Section 9 of an ordinance containing the title quoted above, which
was adopted by the Board of Commissioners of December 2, 1947 and amended on March 11, 1952,
be and the same is hereby amended and reordained, sothat said section as amended and
reordained shall read as follows:
"SECTION 9 There is hereby authorized the following positions not assigned to any
department of the City of Paducah, but directly under the supervision of the City Manager,

and the salary of each Lbsition, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under
any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted, shall be as follows:

SECTION 2 This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
