AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF AN ASSISTANT LICENSE
COLLECTOR TO BE TEMPORARILY EMPLOYED FOR A PERIOD OF THIRTY DAYS; PRES-
CRIBING THE DUTIES AND FIXING THE AMOUNT OF HIS COI;7PENSATION; AND AUTHORIZ-
ING THE TRANSFER OF THE SUM OF 5r200 FROM TIE CONTIFGEi4T FUND 10 `lIIE ACCOUNT
APPROPRIATED FOR PAYMENT OF SALARIES OF 114PLOYEES IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY
TREASERER.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIAJiJISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION I. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to
appoint a suitable person to be employed in the office of the City Treasurer
as an assistant collector of license for a period of thirty days. It shall be
the duty of the assistant license collector to work with the license inspector
and members of the Police Department in the collection of all delinquent
licenses, and he shall be subject to the control and direction of the City
Treasurer in the performance of his duties.
SECTION 2. The assistant license collector shall be paid a salary
of 1,200 during the month of his employment, said salary to be paid in the
same manner and at the same time the salaries of other city employees are paid.
SECTION 3. The assistant license collector shall not acquire any rights
under the rules and regulations of the city civil service now applicable to
appointive employees.
SECTION 4. There is hereby transferred from the Contingent Fund the
sum of � 00 in order to provide the funds necessary for payment of the salary
of said assistant license collector, and said funds shall be transferred to
the account under which employees of the City Treasurerls office are paid.
SEC TION 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized to cause to be
published in the Sun -Democrat a notice of the introduction of this ordinance
and of the proposal to make the transfer of funds in the foregoing section.
Said notice to be publishod at least two weeks before this ordinance shall be
put upon its final passage.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be introduced at a regular meeting
of the Board of Commissioners and remain on file for public inspection for
two weeks in the completed form in which it shall be put upon its final passage,
and it shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
