AIM AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH TO SIGN THE FORI•I OF APPLICATION
FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DEFENSE PUBLIC WORKS°UNDER PUBLIC
LAW 139 - 82 d CONGRESS REQUESTING FUNDS FOR SAID PUBLIC WORKS," which eras
adopted on March 22, 1952, and recorded in Ordinance Boolc 12, page 664; and,
1MREAS, it noir appears that the City of Paducah cannot acquire its estimate
cost of said project by special assessment, and the city has no other funds'to
finance such a project;
I4017 THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY TIE BOARD OF CO2•94ISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, ffiN?TUON-fl:
SECTION 1 That the City of Paducah withdraw its application for Federal
Assistance under Public Law 139 - 83d Congress, which application requested a
grant in the amount of $308,630.00, and which w•as knovm as Application No. `4,
said application having been made by the City of''Paducah pursuant to an ordinance
adopted March 22, 1952, and recorded in Ordinance Bbok 12, page 664, and that
Robert C. Cherry, ATayor of the City of Paducah, be, and he is hereby authorized
to withdraw said application on behalf of the City of Paducah, which was heretofore
submitted on Form No, I-944 of the Housing and Home Finance Agency «APPLICATION
FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DEFENSE PUBLIC ;QM' ?'S UNDM', PUBLIC LAW
139-82d CCP?MESS11 said' application rahich zra.s for the sum of $308,630.00 for
construction of certain combination $overs and sanitary servers to L,.prove aid
e::tend•the sewer system of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 2 This ordinance shall be in full force and effedt from and
after its adoption_.
