BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO2dPQSSIOIrMS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, 1M TUCItY:
SECTION 1 That the City of Paducah accept the bid of Nilson Machinery & Supply
Company for leasing from month to glonth one (1) Link Belt Speeder Model Ls -51 -one-half
cubic yard Trench Hoe, as said bacldioe is described in said Companyts bid dated
May 19, 1952, at a rental rate of $800.00 per month, payable in advance each month
for a minimum of sic (G) months and provided also said City reserves the right or
option to purchase said machine for the price of $14,129.00 in 1;hich event 945'
of the paid rentals shall be applied tolrard the purchase price and be credited
thereon, and also provided that said monthly leasing 'shall be at the city?s
option after the first G months.
SECTION 7. That the City Pianager be, and he is hereby authorized to enter into
and execute, for and on behalf oa the City of Paducah, a contract for the lease
and purchase of said backhoe, provided and that said contract shall contain all of
the terms, conditions and agreements noted in Section 1 herein and as set forth in
said bid of Milson Machinery & Supply Compaly of Play 19, 1957., together with such
additional covenants and conditions which the city ,tanager may deem necessary for
the city?s protections.
SECTION 3 This ordinance shall be introduced and remain on file for a least
one (1) week for public inspection in the completed form in which it shall be put
upon its final passage, but it being necessary for the street department to be
furnished with said equipment as soon as possible in order that cdrtaLi wrier
and other work be done for the protection of the public health and safety, and
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its adoption.
