AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE FINAL REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PL:INNING AND ZONING
C0,101ISSION RESPECTING THE AMLMIN NL T OF SECTION 27-J-5 OF THE PADUCAH ZONING
ORDINANCE AND AMENDING SAID SECTION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF CO 1ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1 That a resolution adopted by the Paducah Planning and Zoning
Commission on Jame 7, 1952, entitled: 11A RESOLUTION CONSTITUTING THE FINAL
REPORT OF THE PADUCAH PUNNING AND ZONING C010JISSION ON THE, PROPOSED ?d•LNDNLENT OF
SECTION 27-J-5 OF THE PADUCAH ZONING ORDINhNCE", be approved as the final report of
said Commission respecting the matters therein set forth.
SECTION 2 That Section Section 27-J-5 of the Paducah Zoning Ordinance
(Ordinance Book No. 12, page 709) be, and it is hereby, amended so that in its
amended state it w111 read as follows:
1?5. Open Porch - An open, unenclosed porch, platform or landing place not
covered by a roof or canopy, u:.liich does not extend above the level of the first
floor of the building, may extend or project into any required yard not more than 4
feet. Steps which do not extend above the level of the first floor of the building
may also extend above the level of the first floor of the building may also extend
or project into any required yard, provided that no such steps or no combination of
steps and open porch may so extend or project more than 7 feet."
SECTION 3 That if any section, paragraph or provision of this ordinance
shall be found to be inoperative, ineffective or invalid for any cause, the
deficiency or invalidity of such section, paragraph or provision shall not affect
any other section, paragraph or provision hereof, it being the purpose and intent
of this ordinance to make each and every section, paragraph and provision hereof
separable from all other sections, paragraphs and provisions, so that if any section,
paragraph or provision hereof shall be found to be invalid, inoperative or
ineffective, the deficiency or invalidity thereof shall not affect any other section,
paragraph or provision hereof.
SECTION 4 All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are, to
the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed.
SECTION 5 This ordinance shall be in frill force and effect from and after
its adoption.
