AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION I OF AN ORDIUAIHCE ENTITLED:
"AN.ORDINANCE PLACING OFFICES AND POSITIONS OF TRUST OR EMPLOYMENT IN
THE SERVICE OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, UNDER CIVIL SERVICE
RULES AND REGULATIONS PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ERS 90.300 TO
90.990; PROVIDING FOP, THE APPOINTiMENT OF A BOARD OF CIVIL SERVICE
COMMISSIONERS, FIXING AND PRESCRIBING THE QUALIFICATIONS, TERMS OF
OFFICE, POWERS AND DUTIES OF SAID COMMISSIONERS; PRESCRIBING THE
RULES BY WHICH THE BOARD OF CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSIONERS SHALL BE
GOVERNED IN THE GIVING OF EXAMINATIONS 4U APPLICANTS FOR EdPLOYI'i UT; �
FIXING THE NUMBER, CLASSIFICATION AND SALARIES OF ALL EMPLOYEES Iul
EACH DEPART INT WHO SHALL BE AFFECTED BY SHE CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND
REGULATIONS PROVIDED HEREIN; AND PRESCRIBING THE RULES AND REGULATIONS
GOVERNING THE CONDUCT OF ALL EMPLOYEES AFFECTED THEREBY AND THE
CAUSES FOR WHICH ANY EMPLOYEES MAY BE REPRIMANDED, SUSPENDED, DISMISSED
OR REMOVED FROM EMPLOYMENT BY THE CITY; PROVIDING FOR AND ESTABLISHING
A RETIRE;.HJT SYSTEM AND THE CREATION AND ,iAINTENANCE OF A PENSION
FUND FOR APPOINTIVE EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND
AUTHORIZING THE LEVY OF A TAX AND THE ASSE33MENT OF EMPLOYEES FOR
THE CREATION AND MAINTENANCE OF SAID FUND; PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT
OF A BOARD OF TRUSTEES TO ADi,iIPIISTER SAID FUND; FIXING AND PRESCRIBING
THE QUALIFICATIONS, TERES OF OFFICE, POWERS AND DU90ES OF SAID BOARD OF
TRUSTEES; PRESCRIBING TIS RUL& AND REGULATIONS BY '.'HICH SAID BOARD OF
TRUSTEES AND ALL APPOINTIVE E'1PLOY71PS SHALL BE GOVERNED WITH REFERENCE
TO THE GRANTING AND ALLOWAIICE OF PENSIONS AND OTHER BENEFITS; AND PROVID-
ING A SEPARABILITY CLAUSE", WHICH WAS AD-PTED BY SHE BOARD OF COIRV
ISSIONERS ON DECEMBER 2, 1947, AND AMENDED ON FEBRUARY 23, 1949
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF C013II3SIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That Section 7 of an ordinance containing the
title quoted above, which was adopted on December 2nd, 1947, and
amended on r'ebruary 23, 1949, be and the same is hereby amended so
that said section as amended shall read as follows:
"Section 7. There is hereby authorized the following
positions in the Department of Finance, and the salary of each
position, provided the amount of such salary is not changed under
any apportionment ordinance hereafter adopted shall be as follower:

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be retroactively effective as of
June let, 1950.
