AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF JESSE R. SPEARS IN THE AMOUNT OF
$375.00 FOR PURCHASE AND REMOVAL OF THE RESIDENCE BUILDING AND IMPROVEMENTS
UPON PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH AT 234 NORTH 8TH STREET; DIRECTING
THE SALE OF SAID BUILDING AND IMPROVEMENTS TO JESSE R. SPEARS; PRESCRIBING THE
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SAID SALE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH SAID PURCHASER ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the bid of Jesse R. Spears in the amount of $375.00 for the
purchase of the building and improvements upon property owned by the City of
Paducah and located at 234 north 8th street be, and the same is hereby accepted,
and the sale of same shall be made to Jesse R. Spears for the sum of $375.00
subject to the terms and conditions hereinafter set out.
SECTION 2. The terms and conditions of said sale are that said purchase
price of $375.00 shall be in cash to the City of Paducah at the time of the
execution of the contract; said purchaser will completely remove said building
and improvements from said property within 45 days from the date of the adoption
of this ordinance; said sale shall further be on condition that the purchaser
hold harmless the City of Paducah from any injury or damage to the person or
property of other persons which may result from removal of said building and
that said purchaser will comply with all ordinances and regulations governing
the moving or razing of buildings and improvements.
SECTION 3. C. R. Moffitt, City Manager of the City of Paducah, is hereby
directed and empowered to execute a contract of sale with the purchaser, Jesse
R. Spears, and said contract of sale shall contain the terms and conditions
provided in this ordinance.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
