AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF THAT PORTION OF THE OLD PADUCAH-
CLINTON GRAVEL ROAD (NOW ABANDONED) THAT LIES SOUTH OF THE SOUTH LINE OF COURT
STREET WITHIN THE PROPERTY NOW OWNED BY MA%INE R. PILLEY BETWEEN TWENTY-NINTH S
AND THE P & I RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY, AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL
TO INSTITUTE IN McCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT A SUIT FOR THE PURPOSE OF HAVING SAID
ROAD LEGALLY CLOSED
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah does hereby authorize the closing
of all that portion of the Old Paducah -Clinton gravel road (now abandoned)
lying south of the south line of Clinton Court within the property now owned
by Maxine R. Pilley between 29th street and the P & I Railroad right-of-way
which property is more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the south line of
Clinton Court 16$ feet west of the south-
west intersection of the south line of Clinton
Court and the west line of 29th street; thence
along and with the south line of Clinton Court
a distance of 3$6.5 feet, more or less, to the
point of intersection of the south line of
Clinton Court and the east line of a 25 foot
alley separating the property of Maxine R.
Pilley and the right-of-way of the P&I Railroad;
thence in a southerly direction along and with
the east line of said 25 foot alley a distance of
120 feet, more or less; thence in an easterly
direction and parallel to the south line of
Clinton Court a distance of 356 feet, more
or less, to a point that lies 16$ feet west
of the west line of 29th street; thence paral-
lel to 29th street in a northerly direction a dis-
tance of 114 feet, more or less to the point of
beginning.
Being a part of the same property conveyed
to Maxine R. Pilley by Henry E. Weil by deed
dated January 15, 1952, and recorded in Deed
Book 314 at page 399, McCracken County Court
Clerk's Office.
SECTION 2. The Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah, is hereby
authorized and empowered to institute, pursuant to provisions of KRD 93.360,
a suit for decree ordering the closing of said Paducah-clinton gravel road
(now abandoned).
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full fore nd effect from and
after its adoption.
