A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE SALE
OF RESIDENCE BUILDING AND IMPROVEMENTS UPON PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH
AT 234 NORTH EIGHTH STREET; PRESCRIBING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE AND THE
bTANNER FOR ADVETTISING FOR BIDS
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be, and he is hereby authorized to advertise

j'for bids for the sale of the residence building and improvements upon property
known as 234 North Eighth Street in Paducah, Kentucky, being on that property
conveyed to the City of Paducah by P. W. Smiley and wife Margaret F. Smiley
by deed dated December 15, 1951. The purchase price shall be paid in cash and
the successful bidder will have the building and improvements removed within
fiforty-five (45) days from the date of acceptance of said bid by ordinance. The
successful bidder will comply with all ordinances and regulations pertaining to
moving or razing such building and improvements.

SECTION 2. The City Manager shall advertise for bids by a notice posted up
at the City Hall door and by inserting notice of the request for bids in at least
lone issue of the Sun -Democrat. The notice shall be posted and published at least
seven days from the date on which this resolution is adopted. No bid shall be
(received unless under seal, nor shall any bid be received by the City Manager up
to the time fixed in the notice for the opening of bids. All bids received by the
City Manager up to the time fixed in the notice shall be filed with the Board of
Commissioners who may let 'the contract to the highest and best bidder. The Board

Of Commissioners shallreserve the right to reject any and all bids and they shall
not become legally obligated to sell said building until the adoption of an
ordinance authorizing such sale.
SECTION 3. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.
