A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO GRANT TO THE WESTERN
KENTUCKY GAS COMPANY A PERMIT FOR THE LAYING OF GAS MAINS ON THE GRASS PLOT OF
PORTIONS OF UNION STREET, CALDWELL STREET AND 11TH STREET AND PRESCRIBING THE
CONDITIONS UPON WHICH SAID PERMIT SHALL BE GRANTED.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. That the City of Paducah authorize the City Engineer to grant
unto the Western Kentucky Gas Company a permit for laying of gas mains in the
grass plots on the east side of Union Street opposite the Illinois Central
passenger depot to Caldwell Street, and in the grass plot on the south side of
Caldwell Street from Union Street to 12th Street, and in the grass plot on the
north side of Caldwell Street from 12th street to the east side of 11th Street
and in the grass plot on the east side of 11th street from Caldwell Street to
the South side of Tennessee street, and that said permit be granted on condition
that said company comply with the provisions of the ordinance entitled: "AN
ORDINANCE REGULATING THE DIGGING, OPENING OR EXCAVATING IN ANY STREET, SIDEWALK,
GRASS PLOT, ALLEY, OR OTHER PUBLIS WAY OF THE City OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND
FIXING THE PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION THEREOF", which was adopted on September
24, 1946 and as amended thereafter, and also with the provisions of another
ordinance entitled: "AN ORDINANCE FURTHER REGULATING THE DIGGING, OPENING OR
EXCAVATING IN ANY STREET, SIDEWALK, GRASS PLOT, ALLEY OR OTHER PUBLIC WAY IN THE
CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND FIXING THE PENALTY FOR ANY VIOLATION THEREOF",
which was adopted on June 17, 1947.
SECTION 2. This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
