HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 12, Page 607, No Ordinance Number607 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF A PUBLIC ALLEY EXTENDING A UNIFORM WIDTH OF TWENTY (20) FEET IN AN EASTERLY DIRECTION FROM THE EAST SIDE OF JOE CLIFTON DRIVE, OR NORTH TWENTY-EIGHTH STREET, MIDWAY BETWEEN TRIMBLE STREET AND LACLEDE AVENUE, IF EXTENDED, A DISTANCE OF FIVE HUNDRED FORTY (540) FEET, AND AUTHORIZING THE CORPORATION COUNSEL TO INSTITUTE IN THE MCCRACKEN CIRCUIT COURT A SUIT FOR THE PURPOSE OF HAVING SAID ALLEY LEGALLY CLOSED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH: SECTION 1. That the City of Padmcah does hereby authorize the closing of all of that twenty (20) foot public alley extending in an easterly direction from the east line of Joe Clifton Drive, or North Twenty-eighth Street, a distance of five hundred forty (540) feet, which alley is located in the block midway between Trimble Street and LaClede Avenue, if extended, and is more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point 163.25 feet north of the intersection of the north line of Trimble Street and the east line of Joe Clifton Drive (North 28th Street); said point being the point of intersection of the south line of a twenty (20) foot alley and the east line of Joe Clifton Drive; thence at right angles along and with the south line of said twenty (20) foot alley, parallel with the north line of Trimble Street, in an easterly direc- tion a distance of 540 feet to the west line of North 27th Street, if extended; thence at right angles along and with the west line of North 27th Street, if extended, in a northerly direction 20 feet to the north line of said twenty (20) foot alley; thence at right angles along and with the north line of said twenty (20) foot alley, parallel with the north line of Trimble Street, in a west- erly direction 540 feet to the east line of Joe Clifton Drive; thence at right angles along and with the east line of Joe Clifton Drive in a southerly direction 20 feet to the point of beginning. �eing the same alley as shown by the Cladwell-Mallory Plat, re- corded in Plat Book A, pages and McCracken County Court Clerk's office. SECTION 2. The Corporation Counsel of the City of Paducah is hereby authoriz and empowered to institute, pursuant to provisions of Y.RS 93.360, a suit for decree ordering the closing of said alley. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
